The Faculty of Meteorology, Environment and Arid Land Agriculture held its annual Advisory Board Council meeting for the year 2016-2017 on April 20, 2017. The Advisory Board Council consists of members from both industry and government sectors providing the college leaders an excellent opportunity for external view for the college activities and outputs. All members of the College Board attended the meeting and participated in the discussion session.
The meeting began with a brief introductory statement and the agenda of the meeting by the dean of the college, Professor Abdullah S. Al-Wagdani, who welcomed the members of the Advisory Board Council and showed his and the members of the College Board regards for their serving in the Advisory Board Council and for attending the meeting. Then, a presentation about the college, its department and facilities, achievement, and its academic programs delivered by the Assistant Dean for Development, Dr. Burhan A. M. Niyazi, followed by the discussion session. The discussions sessions covered the academic programs and their curricular contents, enhancing and improving training and practical parts of the curricula to prepare qualified human capitals capable of competing in the job market, and the opportunities of increasing affiliations with industry as well as raising research fund.
At the end of the meeting adjourned with the conclusions and recommendation for actions and then the dean thanked the Advisory Board Council members and the College Board for attending the meeting and for their intellectual participation and invited them to the lunch in the Faculty of Tourism at King Abdul Aziz University. The Advisory Board Council members expressed their regard and appreciation for the kindness and generosity they received as well as their empress about the facilities they saw in King Abdul Aziz University.
